Tetracycline is a prescription medication used to treat various bacterial infections. Tetracycline belongs to a group of drugs called tetracyline antibiotics, which help to stop the growth of bacteria in the body.

This medication comes in capsule form and is typically taken 2 or 4 times a day with or without [non-dairy] food.

Common side effects of tetracycline include loss of appetite, nausea, upset stomach, vomiting, and diarrhea.
