Vancocin Overview

Vancocin is a prescription medication used to treat certain infections.

The oral capsules are used in the treatment of diarrhea caused by a bacteria known as C. difficile.  

They can also be used to treat enterocolitis caused by Staphylococcus aureus.

Vancocin is also available in injectable form to be given directly into a vein (IV).
