Vaprisol Overview

Updated:

Vaprisol is a prescription medication used to help increase low sodium levels in the blood. Vaprisol belongs to a group of drugs called vasopressin antagonists. These raise salt levels in the blood by removing extra body water as urine. Removing fluid from the body helps to increase the level of sodium in the blood.

This medication comes in an injectable form to be given directly into a vein (IV) by a healthcare professional.

Common side effects of Vaprisol include reactions at site of infusion, headache, constipation, diarrhea, vomiting, and thirst.
