Advil Congestion Relief Overview

Advil Congestion Relief is an over the counter medication used to treat symptoms associated with the common cold, including headache, sinus pressure, nasal congestion, and minor aches and pain.

It is a single product containing 2 ingredients: ibuprofen and phenylephrine. Ibuprofen belongs to a group of drugs called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), which work by providing pain/headache relief. Phenylephrine belongs to a group of drugs called nasal decongestants, which work by narrowing the blood vessels and reducing the swelling inside your nasal passage.

This medication comes in a tablet form and is usually taken every 4 hours with food.

Common side effects of Advil Congestion Relief include stomach upset, fast heart rate and shakiness.
