Chloraseptic Max Spray is an over the counter medication used to relieve sore throat pain, and irritations of the mouth, gum, and throat. Chloraseptic Max Spray is a combination product containing 2 ingredients: Phenol and Glycerol. Phenol belongs to a group of drugs called topical anesthetics, which numbs the area it is applied to. Glycerol belongs to a group of drugs called demulcents, which relieves irritation of the area it is applied to by creating a thin, protective film. 

This medication comes in a oral (by mouth) liquid spray form, and may be used every 2 hours as needed.

Common side effects of Chloraseptic Max Spray include tenderness, and numbness of the area.
