Lactaid is an over the counter dietary supplement used to prevent symptoms of lactose intolerance. Lactaid contains natural lactase enzymes that work with your body to breakdown lactose found in dairy foods.

This medication comes in tablets and is taken prior to eating a dairy containing meal.

Common side effects of Lactaid include nausea and vomiting.
