Lexxel Overview
Lexxel is a prescription medication used to treat high blood pressure. Lexxel is a single product containing 2 medications: enalapril and felodipine. The enalapril component belongs to a group of drugs called angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors. Enalapril works by blocking the ACE enzyme, which helps blood vessels to relax and lowers blood pressure. The felodipine component belongs to a group of drugs called calcium channel blockers, which work by relaxing the blood vessels, making it easier for the heart to pump blood.
This medication comes in tablet form and is typically given once daily. Lexxel can be taken either with food or without food, just take it the same way every time. For example, if you take it without food then always take it without food.
Common side effects of Lexxel include headache, dizziness, and swelling.
