Quazepam is a prescription medication used to treat insomnia (trouble falling asleep). Quazepam belongs to a group of drugs called benzodiazepines. These work by decreasing abnormal excitement in the brain to allow sleep. 

This medication comes in an oral (by mouth) tablet form and is usually taken at bedtime as needed. 

Common side effects of quazepam include headache, dry mouth, and dyspepsia (indigestion).

Quazepam can also cause drowsiness and dizziness. Do not drive or operate heavy machinery until you know how quazepam affects you.
