Buprenorphine

Buprenorphine is a prescription medication used to treat moderate to severe pain and chronic, around-the-clock pain that will last a long period of time. Buprenorphine is also used to treat patients who are dependent on opioids (addiction to opioid drugs including heroin and narcotic painkillers).

Alefacept

Alefacept is a prescription medication used to treat moderate to severe chronic plaque psoriasis in adults. Alefacept belongs to a group of drugs called immunosuppressants. It is thought to work by blocking the actions of certain cells of the immune system.

Alefacept comes in an injectable form to be given directly into a muscle by a healthcare provider. It is usually given once a week, for 12 weeks.

Eltrombopag

Eltrombopag is a prescription medication used to prevent bleeding episodes in patients with chronic immune (idiopathic) thrombocytopenia (ITP) or chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV). Eltrombopag belongs to a group of drugs called thrombopoietin receptor agonist, which work by causing the cells of the bone marrow to produce more platelets (cells that are needed for blood to clot).

This medication comes in tablet form and is taken once a day, on an empty stomach.

Common side effects of eltrombopag include nausea, diarrhea, runny or stuffy nose, and muscle aches.
