Mucoangin is an over-the-counter lozenge used to treat sore throat. Mucoangin belongs to a group of medications called mucolytics, which help by thinning mucous.

This medication is available as a lozenge and may be used up to 6 times per day. If sore throat symptoms last londer than 3 days, contact your doctor.

The most common side effects of Mucoangin include dry mouth, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea.

Mucoangin is currently unavailable in the U.S.
